Becoming a SORIN Member

SORIN is bent on reforming the financial system so why not start with how we, as a nonprofit, operate. We see how nonprofits are chasing their networks for a piece of their wallets with fund raising drives coming from all directions. We are committed to functioning in a more financially sustainable way so our approach is to build a dedicated membership base that funds SORIN. We will also commit to gradually lower the membership fees as our membership base grows. Who does that? We will do it! So if you believe that:
  • The financial system is broken.
  • The SORIN SRS is the framework that can reform the financial landscape.
  • The only way to bring about change is to practically show an alternative, socially responsible, and better model.

SORIN Membership Fee Breakdown

 
Gap Fund — 60%
Operations — 30%
Endowment — 10%
 
As SORIN membership scales, the portion dedicated to operations will be transferred to the SORIN Endowment. Once SORIN is able to operate from Endowment income alone, 90% of SORIN membership fees will be utilized for the Gap Fund and other mission based initiatives. The remaining 10% will continue to grow the endowment.
